Ayurveda’s Approach – Balancing the imbalances.

In Ayurveda, perfect health is defined as “a balance between body, mind, spirit, and social wellbeing.” In fact, the concepts of balance and connectedness echo throughout Ayurvedic texts, thoughts, and practices. This very concept of balancing builds the foundation of Ayurveda’s holistic approach. Therefore, for almost all of the health conditions, Ayurveda instructs on  finding the imbalance (the root cause of health condition), then re-establish the balance by making changes in life style, dietary habits, and by  introducing herbal supplements supporting the body’s self-healing mechanism.

At Shri Asha we follow the same approach as prescribed in Ayurvedic texts. We make a thorough investigation into various parameters about:

  • Your physical and emotional characteristics
  • Your current health conditions
  • Previous health history and family history
  • Dietary habits, Lifestyle and Sleeping patterns
  • Social  and psychological wellness

Based on all this information we start addressing the imbalances and work with you to make necessary changes/improvement to achieve your body’s natural balance.

Given below are some of the health conditions on which we are working actively.

Gut Health

Healthy digestion is the most fundamental aspect of overall wellness in Ayurveda. The complete cycle of – digestion, absorption, and assimilation of food nutrients create the building blocks of our body.

Recent modern researches have also established that a healthy gut is responsible not just for digestion, but it also has an impact on mental health and immunity. These researches reinforce the importance of a body-mind connection (The Gut-Brain Axis), which has always been at the heart of Ayurveda.

Hair & Skin

As per Ayurveda, while all skin conditions may seem superficial in nature, however these conditions are rarely caused by an issue on the surface of the skin. They are far more likely to be the result of a deeper imbalance—making it somewhat ineffective to treat the symptom alone & superficially using various skin products.

Instead, we must delve deeper, beneath the surface of the skin. This is why Ayurvedic skin care aims to identify and treat the underlying cause of skin imbalances—an approach that can take a little time, but one that tends to offer real and sustained results.

Immunity & Respiratory System

According to Ayurveda, strong immunity is a product of good digestion, strong agni (the metabolic fire), quality liver functioning, and a balanced endocrine system (which includes appropriately balanced hormones).

Immunity as a concept has been explained very widely in Ayurveda under multiple topics.

Womens Health

Ayurveda provides a respectful and supportive approach for women in every stage of life for restoring and maintaining the balance of body’s constitutional energies Vata, Pittaand Kapha.

It is said when we restore balance in these constitutional energies, we are happy in our minds, healthy in our bodies and satisfied in our lives.

In Ayurveda, the bones and joints are considered a site of vata in the body —meaning that they have a general affinity for vata, and are particularly prone to vata imbalances.

The joints are deeply affected by the quality of the bone tissue (asthi dhatu), but in Ayurveda, the joints also share an important connection with the nervous tissue (majja dhatu), and the nervous system as a whole.
